These occur at the intersection (green dots) of \(\mathcal{G}(\nu, \omega)=0\) (red curve) and \(\mathcal{H}(\nu, \omega)=0\) (blue curve) where \(\mathcal{G}\) is the real part of \({\mathcal{E}}\) whereas \(\mathcal {H}\) is the imaginary part. Here we can see that all the eigenvalues, except the zero eigenvalue, have negative real part, so that the periodic wave is stable. Parameters as in Fig. 5
